The Rolling Stones are on their ‘No Filter’ North American tour right now with Keith Richards and Mick Jagger at the top of their game, but Keith has told Guitar Magazine in a never before uploaded online interview that he has suffered falls, but always gets himself back up. Keith Richards recently revealed why he was stunned by a bandmate quitting.

“It could fall apart. It’s a balancing act. But you can fall down and get up. I guess I got over my embarrassment over falling down in public a long time ago. That, to me, is what makes it interesting. You set yourself up for a fall, you don’t wanna fall but you know you can get up.

He said about younger bands, “I really feel for new bands that are coming up because these days, you need a quarter of a million dollars before you can start. And with that big money, the marketing men want to play it safe. And when you play safe, the best you’re gonna come up with is something that’s not bad. And we’re not here talking because music is not bad. We’re here because it’s fucking great! Playing safe is not what it’s about. This music is all about beautiful fuck-ups. And beautiful recoveries.” You can read the full interview on Guitar Magazine’s website.

Keith Richards said he feared he stole one of The Rolling Stones’ best songs in an interview. JordyLicks96 recently compiled a list of The Rolling Stones songs used on solo material by band members on IORR.org.
