Meg White to reunite with Jack White?

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced the list of performers and presenters for its 2025 ceremony. The White Stripes are among the nominees for induction. Iggy Pop is included on the list released by Rock Hall officials on Wednesday. Although the Rock Hall hasn’t specified the pairings for the event, it’s reasonable to believe that the frontman of the Stooges will either induct or perform for the Detroit duo. Pop introducing a White Stripes reunion performance would be quite the moment.

Fans are wondering if the reclusive Meg White will reunite with Jack White. Meg White has lived a reclusive life since the band split in 2011, and she has largely avoided the public eye due to anxiety and a preference for privacy.

Her elusive presence in the media was evident during the band’s career, as her shyness led to canceled tours. Since her divorce in 2013, she has remained mostly out of the spotlight. Currently, she lives a quiet life in Detroit, and recent reports indicate that she has had no contact with the media for several years. The last many fans saw of her was The White Stripes’ last performance on Conan in 2009. A White Stripes one off reunion at the Hall of Fame seems like the best possibility to get Meg to return. Rock and roll could surely use the White Stripes back with so many older rock legends passing like Ozzy Osbourne.

Other presenters and performers included on Wednesday’s list include Olivia Rodrigo, who also has ties with Jack White, whom she once called her “hero of all heroes” — Beck, Doja Cat, Brandi Carlile, Elton John, Missy Elliott, Maxwell, Teddy Swims, Flea, Twenty One Pilots and David Letterman.

Joining the White Stripes on the inductee list at the November 8th ceremony are Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Outkast, Salt-N-Pepa, Soundgarden and Warren Zevon.

Iggy Pop is a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, having been inducted in 2010 as a member of the Stooges. In 2008, he and the Stooges performed at Madonna’s induction, serenading their fellow Michigander with renditions of “Burning Up” and “Ray of Light.”

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, which will take place at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater, will stream live on Disney+.
