In a now-deleted status update, Szasz acknowledged the potential distastefulness of his presence at the event but justified his choice, stating that his favorite band and the solace found in music offer him comfort during difficult times.
It should be noted that everyone does deal with grief differently, and this may have been a form of escapism for Szasz, and we do not know the relationship between the two.
