Former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar mourned the death of his ‘brother,’ late Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul, who passed away last year, in a new Instagram posts. Vinnie Paul would have turned 55 on Tuesday.

“Happy birthday my brother 55 would’ve been one hell of a party at the Cabo Wabo. We all Miss you #straightshots in order #vinniepaul.”

Hagar also recently announced, “It’s that time of year again! Sammy’s Birthday Bash is back in 2019 and will be taking place on October 9th, 11th, & 13th. ⁣

Tickets will be handled in the usual fashion with a registration process followed by a random drawing. This will happen after the Circle tour wraps in June.⁣

Good luck and see you in Cabo!⁣

He also recently posted, “Happy birthday to my first born @aaronhagar. After 49 years you feel as much like a brother as a son to me. I have truly enjoyed watching you grow up and become a good human being. Love ya. Pop. #likefatherlikeson #thisiswhatitsallabout #happybirthday #pisces.”

Sammy Hagar will release an album and tour with his band The Circle this year. Hagar recently revealed that Michael Anthony was contacted about a potential Van Halen reunion six months ago, but said he didn’t know anything beyond that.
