Vicky Cornell has announced that Soundgarden will complete their final recordings with Chris Cornell from 2017.

The reconciliation marks a new partnership between the two parties, which will allow Soundgarden fans around the world to hear the final songs that the band and Chris were working on. The two parties are united and coming together to propel, honor and build upon Soundgarden’s incredible legacy as well as Chris’s indelible mark on music history – as one of the greatest songwriters and vocalists of all time.” Vicky tweeted, “Loud love.”

Taylor Momsen sang for Soundgarden at the Chris Cornell tribute show, and she could provide help if needed for Soundgarden’s new album.
Taylor Momsen sheds praise on Taylor Hawkins tribute
Foo Fighters celebrated Taylor Hawkins’ memory and music at a special gig in London on Saturday, September 3. Hawkins, the band’s drummer since 1997, died in Bogotá, Colombia on March 25. He was 50 years old.
Foo Fighters performed for a couple of hours at Wembley Stadium for a special tribute show for the late band drummer Taylor Hawkins. ‘The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts’ also took place at LA’s Kia Forum on September 27. Momsen was part of the tribute show.
During an interview with NME, Momsen spoke about the experience and praised Grohl and the Foo Fighters for putting it on.
“It was an absolute honor to be asked to sing at that,” she said. “I loved Taylor dearly. What an incredible musician and one of the best people I’ve ever met in my life.”
“It was just an extraordinarily moving night, the energy in the room was beautiful. Everyone who was there was there for the right reason, egos were checked at the door,” Momsen continued. “And then, obviously, to play with some of my heroes of music was just unbelievable. I have to mention Dave and the Foos as well; the way they went about the show was so well done and so beautiful. It was a very moving evening, very emotional. I feel like Taylor would have really loved it. Dave did a wonderful job honoring his friend.”
As for The Pretty Reckless, they’re gearing up to release an album of acoustic songs and covers called Other Worlds on Friday (November 4).
