The last time Motley Crue icons Vince Neil and Tommy Lee were photographed together were back in late 2019 during a press run. Together the duo has sold over 100 million albums worldwide. Since 2004, the band has kept the original lineup. This comes as the group went during a time period with several short-term lineup changes including vocalist John Corabi and drummers Randy Castillo and Samantha Maloney. This painful Motley Crue member photo was recently revealed.
A new photograph has been revealed showcasing Mr. Lee and Mr. Neil hanging out while riding an off-road vehicle, with Neil wearing a swimsuit and t-shirt. Motley Crue is touring this summer alongside Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts as a part of their long-awaited ‘Stadium Tour’, which has been long postponed since the virus that caused the worldwide pandemic wreaked havoc.
In other news regarding Motley Crue, long-time bassist and co-founder of the band, Nikki Sixx recently denounced a new Motley Crue stage show that is allegedly using the group’s trademark and likeness without consent.
Sixx wrote about the incident on Instagram, stating: “Fans of Motley Crue have asked about a new play by David Zucarelli’s [sic] called The Crue: Underneath the Dirt Lies the Truth,” he said. “I was disappointed to see an advertisement using my image and our band’s trademark ‘The Crue’ to promote this play,” the rocker continued. “The advertising is misleading because it suggests that I and the other members of the band are somehow involved with the play.”
The stage show, which is entitled ‘ The Crue: Underneath the Dirt Lies the Truth’ is set to premiere this June. The show will be airing at the Flight Theatre in Los Angeles, California. It should be noted that according to Sixx’s social media post, neither he nor his fellow bandmates were ever approached to have any involvement with this production. The 2022 ‘Stadium Tour’ featuring Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts officially kicks off June 16th in Atlanta, Georgia.
