Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl recently spoke to paparazzi, where he reacted to being called a hipster, and to Kurt Cobain’s 50th birthday. Watch video below the transcription.
Dave: Not that big of a deal guys. Not gonna get a lot of money for that one.
Paparazzi: I’m alright with that. I just want to have a chat. You’re looking almost hipster these days.
Dave: Think so?
Paparazzi: I think so, a little bit.
Dave: I appreciate that. That’s very nice of you.
Paparazzi: Kurt Cobain would have been 50 yesterday.
Dave: Yeah, that’s right.
Paparazzi: What do you think he would have been doing?
Dave: Good question, not sure. Interesting question.
Paparazzi: Well this interview is going pretty well.
Dave: Yeah, I’m not really good at these.
Paparazzi: In a respectful way, I love your Mum.
Dave: Thank you very much. Have you met?
Paparazzi: No I haven’t, but I’ve actually got that book.
Dave: She does, she has a book coming out that she wrote, and it’s brilliant. She interviewed mothers of 25-30 other musicians, where she talked to them about their relationship, and how the relationship between the mother and child determines [the creative process] of the artist. It’s a really interesting book.
