Former Rage Against The Machine frontman Zack de la Rocha was attacked for being a so-called ‘communist’ by a hater in a new tweet, and Tom Morello has hit back. Fans have long awaited a Rage Against The Machine reunion since the band’s final performance at LA Rising in July 2011, with the 8-year anniversary of the performance coming up.

The ‘fan’ tweeted, “They played at the DNC. Tom Morello is a raging liberal Democrat and ZDLR is a devout communist.”

Morello responded, “RATM played a concert PROTESTING the DNC in 2000 & 2008. And police attacked our crowd. #FactCheck.”

Morello tweeted earlier, “I’m excited to announce my first ever intensive four day guitar seminar, TOM MORELLO’S GUITAR REVOLUTION, happening January 2 – 6, 2020 in Newport Beach, CA. Register now at http://tommorellosguitarrevolution.com”

“This is as much about the social impact as it is about the playing. For the first 100 people to register, @Fender will be joining me in donating a guitar in your name to support music education initiatives in CA schools & Wayne Kramer’s Jail Guitar Doors prison rehab programs.”

“I also believe that access to top notch guitar instruction should be for EVERYONE regardless of economic circumstances, and we will be granting scholarships in association with accredited, non-profit local organizations that help disadvantaged and underprivileged musicians.”
