Chris Cornell’s widow has announced that surviving members of Soundgarden will reunite to present a screening of their 2013 Artists Den performance from Los Angeles at the Wiltern. The screening will be part of the previously announced celebration of the Chris Cornell statue unveiling at MoPOP in Seattle on October 7th.

“Immediately following the statue unveiling members of Soundgarden will host a special screening of LIVE FROM THE ARTIST’S DEN: SOUNDGARDEN. If you missed out on the fan pre-sale yesterday, don’t worry, we still have some tickets available in link #loudlove.”

Vicky Cornell previously posted on Instagram, “As an artist, my husband was not only one of the greatest voices in rock history but also one of the greatest and most prolific poets of his time- his contribution to music birthed a movement that would leave an indelible mark on popular music forever.

It only makes sense that I donate this statue to MoPop with their dedication to the ideas and risk-taking that fuel contemporary popular culture. Like my husband and his music, MoPop reaches multigenerational audiences, and this is the perfect place where people near and far can come together to not only support the museum and its programs, but also celebrate the legacy that my Chris left behind, not only in Seattle but around the world.

Thank you all for the continued love and support . Due to the overwhelming response from the Seattle community and fans the statue unveiling has been moved to Oct 7th to safely accommodate everyone. I’m humbled and grateful to you all for showing such tremendous support in remembering and honoring Chris . We look forward to seeing you all on Oct 7th. #chriscornellforever.”
