Eddie Vedder New 2021 Solo Album Confirmed

Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder previously was reported to be working on a solo soundtrack album for Sean Penn’s Flag Day. Vedder has now confirmed the record will come out in 2021, and will feature Cat Power and Glen Hansard. Vedder just made a Howard Stern interview announcement.

Vedder is also considering a virtual version of his Ohana Festival this year, with plans for it to return in 2021. Vedder last released Ukulele Songs in 2011, and his first solo effort was the 2007 Into the Wild soundtrack, another Sean Penn film.

Vedder’s Pearl Jam bandmate Jeff Ament is staying busy as well, planning a political live talk later this week. The Montana Book Festival presents Senator Jon Tester in conversation Pearl Jam’s Jeff Ament to launch Grounded: A Senator’s Lessons on Winning Back Rural America on September 12, 2020, at 7PM.

This event will be moderated by Aaron Murphy and will feature music by Izaak Opatz. Tickets are on sale here, each ticket will include a unique live-stream link, a signed copy of Senator Tester’s book, and a copy of the new issue of the Whitefish Review.
