Ex-Guns N’ Roses bassist Tommy Stinson discussed his disdain for supporters of President Donald Trump in a new Kreative Kontrol interview. Alternative Nation transcribed his comments.

“The downtown area of Hudson is all normal people, and you get a little bit outside of town, you have crazy people, and rednecks, scary people that think that it makes a lot of sense to start doing random picking up of possible illegal aliens, and locking them up because ‘Oh, those could be radical Muslims living in your basement.’ The thought process of some of these people is absolutely fucking bananas.

It’s funny, you can kind of feel them when they come into town, because they have this whole thing, ‘(In mocking southern accent) I’ve got a bunker in my backyard in case it all go down.’ It’s that kind of mentality, people that bought the whole Trump line, they think heck, the whole world is going down in a hand-basket, and you’ve got to be careful, those radical Muslims are everywhere, and they’re going to kill us all! It’s like no, you’re kind of stupid, and you’re not really paying attention to what’s happening in the world. It’s uninformed, it’s people that just want something to jump on because they just don’t know any better.

It’s kind of sad actually, when Trump was going off about it in his campaign to win the Presidency: ‘I love stupid people.’ I think he actually, I don’t think I’m misquoting, at some point he said, ‘I like stupid people. I like illiterate people.’ It’s like well, our point and our goal in our life is to make illiterate people smarter so we’re a better place, and not play on their weakness of not being worldly, or uneducated.”

Stinson’s paraphrase of Trump’s quote is actually fake news. Trump’s real quote following a February 2016 Nevada Republican primary victory was: “We won the evangelicals, we won with young, we won with old, we won with highly educated, we won with poorly educated! I love the poorly educated! We’re the smartest people, we’re the most loyal people.” Trump’s quote was regarding the many groups that led to his Nevada primary win.

Stinson said he allows his 9-year old daughter to call President Trump a ‘motherfucker.’

“My daughter hates the Orange man. When she hears about certain things, it’s the only time I let her swear.”

“‘How do you feel about that guy?'”

“‘I hate that motherfucker.’ As she calls him.”

He also called Trump’s policy on illegal aliens ‘deplorable,’ and yet again threatened to move from the United States, saying that he’s looked into Canada and South America, but wants to wait and see how things go.
