Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello Celebrating Cubs Victory At Cemetery Will Melt Your Heart

The Chicago Cubs’ victorious World Series run is making headlines everywhere and plenty of Chicago alt. rockers and bands are celebrating on Twitter. From Smashing Pumpkins, and Disturbed, to Rise Against and Liz Phair, plenty of Illinois-born musicians were watching on the edge of their seats as the wild game between the Cubs and Cleveland Indians went into extra innings before the Cubs finally won 8-7, a little after midnight, Central time. Chris Cornell celebrated on behalf of bandmate guitarist Kim Thayil who is from Chicago. Smashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin also tweeted.

Could you stop writing “Will Melt Your Heart” after every headline?! It’s usually totally inaccurate, and utterly cringe worthy!

Seriously, this whole whining about the headlines is really getting annoying. It is what it is man. Like it or lump it, but hopefully just deal with it and move on with your life?

I whined once. Unless the writers have been replaced with 12 year old girls, there’s very little excuse. It just makes the site seem ameteur.

Yes I know, not specifically aimed at you, just folks in general. Brett has explained time and time again why the headlines are the way they are but every day there is someone complaining about them and it just gets very tiresome. People know what to expect, so what’s the point in complaining when you get what you expect? Do you know what I mean?

I think your click bait random tagline generator is broken. You’ve used “Will Melt Your Heart” several times in one week.

  • God

    Cubs fans still hate themselves!

Nah, after the Cubs won the WS we no longer feel obligated to watch the Bears.lol

An older friend of mine from Chi-town told me today that he can now die happy, after seeing the home team win the Super Bowl (Bears 1986), win the NBA (several times, Jordan/Pippin years), the Hawks win the Stanley Cup and now the Cubs take the World Series. WHOO HOO CHICAGO!!!!!!!
