During a recent Rock 105.3 interview, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith admitted that he stole his drum part of “Breaking the Girl” from the Jimi Hendrix Experience song “Manic Depression.”

The interview told Smith he remembered watching a making of Blood Sugar Sex Magik documentary and saw him listening to “Dazed and Confused” by Led Zeppelin, and air drumming to it. He said he clearly heard the influence in Red Hot Chili Peppers’ hit “Breaking the Girl.”

Smith responded, “I have to correct you. I get what you’re saying, that was some creative editing. We were sitting on a couch with Rick Rubin, he had a bunch of old bootlegs and they were so great, and we were watching Zeppelin. But Breaking the Girl, the drums on that, I stole that from “Manic Depression” and Mitch Mitchell. Does that make sense? (Hums the beat) That’s what it was. My engineer in here is nodding his head, going yep. But not to say that John Bonham and Led Zeppelin’s music [was not a huge influence], to this day.”

Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith trashed Donald Trump and his supporters in a new Virgin Radio interview. Alternative Nation transcribed the quotes.

“It’s embarrassing what’s going on in our political system at the moment, especially Donald Trump. He’s a dangerous man to represent the conservative party in America. There’s basically two parties, there’s the Democratic party who are more liberal, which I and the band align themselves more with, then there’s the conservative party, the Republicans. The nominee is Donald Trump, and by no means does he embody what a Republican is about. This thing came out on the news where he talked about fucking women and grabbing their genitals, like a predator sexual assault.

I know it was in 2005 and he was on television or whatever, there’s no excuse for that sort of behavior for a person that is running for the President of the United States. There is a moral compass that is involved, and he seems to have none. What’s scariest about it is that people who support him don’t care. He could probably come out in the next month and say he murdered somebody, and they’d still vote for him. It’s insane, it’s insanity. It’s disgusting, it’s a bummer.”

“The people in America are white, uneducated, and they’re sick of Washington politics, and they think in their uneducated minds that any change is better than continuing with the same kind of politicians we have. I’m not saying Hillary Clinton is the greatest thing yet, and they’re two of the most disliked politicians that are running for President in our country that we have ever had.”

Donald Trump recently received criticism for a 2005 ‘hot mic’ recording from Access Hollywood leaking, where he bragged about having sex with beautiful women due to his fame, and how women let him grab them by the pussy when he is intimate with them.

Red Hot Chili Peppers have a song called “Party on Your Pussy.” Lyrics on the track include, “He said that he hears moaning and screaming/To me fuckin’ you every night/Well, let me say hey/I want to party on your pussy, baby/I want to party on, party on your pussy.”

Trump recently invited Bill Clinton’s sexual assault and rape accusers to the second Presidential debate as his special guests. He brought Juanita Broaddrick, who claims Bill Clinton viciously raped her (including biting her lip) in the 70’s and that Hillary Clinton intimidated her into silence for decades, Paula Jones, who received an $850,000 settlement in a sexual assault lawsuit against Bill Clinton after he allegedly exposed himself to her, and Kathleen Willey, who claims Bill Clinton sexually assaulted her by fondling her breasts and forcing her hand on his penis in a private study in the Oval Office.

Kathy Shelton also attended the debate. Shelton was brutally raped when she was 12-years old, and then lawyer Hillary Clinton (known as Hillary Rodham at the time) represented the alleged rapist and helped him get only two months in jail. During the trial, Hillary accused the 12-year old Shelton of fantasizing about sex with older men and being the sexual aggressor. She later laughed about the alleged rapist passing a lie detector test in a recording, saying it made her lose complete faith in lie detector tests. Hillary once tweeted, “Every survivor of sexual assault deserves to be heard, believed, and supported.”
