Heavvyglow posted on Reddit that Chad Smith told him at an art show over the weekend that Red Hot Chili Peppers have finished their John Frusciante reunion album. RHCP’s last Frusciante album was 2006’s Stadium Arcadium.
He said, “Met Chad last night – as cool as you’d hope he’d be and confirmed album is done and touring next year.”
“Didn’t confirm exact timing no but said was done. Way he said it at least way I interpreted is that it’s 100% done. But who knows how long label could hold etc.”
1interaction commented, “Looking at that painting, I really want him to do the new album’s cover. His style would go so well with the chili peppers’ music, especially with Frusciante back.”

GregGolden6 added, “I feel I’ve seen like half a dozen posts of people talking about meeting Chad in the last week and hearing that the albums done, is this just a running gag or is he just meeting with fans an unusually frequent amount of times?”
