Courtney Love‘s bank account is a little lighter these days, but at least she got the federal government off her back.
According to documents obtained by The Blast, the IRS filed a release of federal tax lien in New York on December 22. Love recently paid $319,749.27 to settle a years-long beef with Uncle Sam for unpaid taxes from 2012.
Love seems to be on a roll with settling old debts — she paid the IRS roughly $266,000 last year for unpaid taxes in 2009 ($3,236.23) and 2011 ($263,624.78).
So next time you’re out to dinner with Courtney, maybe offer to pick up the tab.

“Nam-myoho-renge-kyo! Nam-myoho-renge-kyo!” we chant with another Buddhist on a puffy couch and with roaring lioness-in-heat vibrations. It’s all about the vibrations and, as a trio, ours are kind of like a triple layered guttural Hole chorus. We’re in this harmonious thing together.
Chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is meant to be “like the roar of a lion,” said Nichiren Daishonin, a 13th-century Buddhist monk who insisted that chanting NMRK (and portions of the Lotus Sutra) would provide wondrous soul-soothing benefits – tapping into every human’s inherent Buddha nature, transforming sufferings into happiness, accomplishing one’s human revolution, changing one’s destiny and fulfilling dreams in the present and the future. These are teachings which members of Buddhist lay organisation, the monk-less Soka Gakkai (translation: Value-Creating Society) International, follow to obtain peace, love and happiness. In other words, Courtney Love basically summoned my hibernating spirit.
