Major Chris Cornell New Material Announcement Revealed

Chris Cornell’s Twitter account has announced their a brand new song from the late Soundgarden singer will premiere on Monday afternoon.

JeffGarden has shared the lyrics to late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell’s recording of “You Never Knew My Mind.” Cornell created the song around unreleased Jonny Cash lyrics for a new album set for release in April.

Cornell will appear on a new album that sets the poems of Johnny Cash to music, Johnny Cash: Forever Words. Cash’s son John Carter Cash helped put together the album.

John Carter Cash, who co-produced the album, said in a statement, “I picked the artists who are most connected with my father, who had a personal story that was connected with Dad. It became an exciting endeavor to go through these works, to put them together and present them to different people who could finish them in a way that I believed that Dad would have wanted.”
