Axl Rose Details His Sad Sickness: ‘You’re OK Until You’re Not’

Guns N’ Roses played in Abu Dhabi on Sunday as their Not In This Lifetime tour nears its conclusion. Duff McKagan revealed on Twitter that frontman Axl Rose is very sick. He tweeted, “Thank you Abu Dhabi! @axlrose pulled a damn miracle…the man was beyond ill, and pulled off something I’ve never seen in my 40 yrs of playing. You all pulled him thru. Til next time!” The band had to cut their show short.

Slash tweeted, “Abu Dhabi, you guys were fucking great tonight! Axl was severely ill. But you all were hugely supportive. Thanks for that. We’ll see again next time! Cheers! iiii]; ) ‘”

Rose said prior to ending the show early, “They’ve got me on IV’s, and a bunch of injections because I got sick today, I’ve been throwing up for about the last 5 hours. Instead of canceling, we’re going to do the best show we can for you.”
