Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready has announced Peak to the Sky, a day of music he will be curating on July 6th in Big Sky Montana. McCready will be joined by Red Hot Chili Peppers members Josh Klinghoffer and Chad Smith, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, and Brandi Carlile.

Red Hot Chili Peppers members Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer also joined forces with Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready to reform part of Chad Smith’s Super Mega Funktastic Jam Rock All Stars, who recently performed at a charity gig for Will Ferrell. The trio performed at the Game Changer Gala in Seattle in November, and they covered the Prince classic “Purple Rain” with Josh Klinghoffer on lead vocals. The Game Changer Gala benefits Team Gleason and Answer ALS.

Chad Smith’s Super Mega Funktastic Jam Rock All-Stars performed in October at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles at Will Ferrell’s Best Night of Your Life. The band features Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready, Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, Red Hot Chili Peppers members Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer, Dave Matthews Band bassist Stefan Lessard, and Brad Paisley.

Comedians Jerry Seinfeld, Samantha Bee, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O’Brien, Michelle Wolf, Jim Jeffries, Kumail Nanjiani, and Jerrod Carmichael also performed, along with Will Ferrell of course.
