The 13-year long process of making the new Tool album appeared to cause tension with Maynard James Keenan and Adam Jones at many points, with contradictory statements on social media and to the press coming as recently as a few months ago, but Keenan clarified his feelings for Jones with a touching moment onstage in Birmingham earlier this week, fist bumping his longtime bandmate. You can view a photo and view below of the incident that will surely melt your heart. Earlier shows on the new Tool tour have been very well reviewed by critics and fans.

Tool are set to finally release their new album on August 30, 2019, the followup to 2006’s 10,000 Days. The band are currently on a North American tour, and they are set to tour Europe this summer and play festivals with 90’s alternative rock titans like The Smashing Pumpkins.

Tool recently debuted “Descending” and “Invincible” off of the new album, though they have not yet released a studio single. Guns N’ Roses also debuted new songs off of Chinese Democracy live before releasing any studio material in 2001, though they ended up taking 7 years to actually release the album.
