Billy Corgan Unloads On Imagine Dragons After Terrible Lie

Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds claimed that Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan attacked him in a social media post in February.

Reynolds said, “I’ve gotten over the fact that guys in other bands (the 1975, Foster the People, Smashing Pumpkins, Slipknot, etc.) feel a need to talk badly about my band for whatever reason. I don’t feel anger towards them actually, just more of a sadness that this industry embraces, even celebrates this mentality. I wish it felt like a place where artists stood by each other and supported one another — regardless of our different tastes and voices.”

While Corgan is known for being very opinionated and taking numerous shots at other artists in the past, there are no quotes of him online talking about Imagine Dragons, until now! Corgan addressed the controversy in a new Instagram story Q&A. Corgan also took shots at socialism and ‘soy boys’ in the Q&A.

What happened between you and Imagine Dragons?

“Dude has a problem where there is no problem. Don’t believe I’ve ever said anything negative about them. He’s so big now he’s inventing imaginary enemies.”

My sixth sense tells me the Chicago Kid album is superb. Why was it shelved?

“Absolute disdain for the president of my then record company.”

What is one life style difference in another continent that you see that you wish the USA would also adopt?

“I am certainly attracted to the European way of life. But not with those socialist taxes.”

Socialist taxes for social services, which contributes to a great extent of the European way of life.

“Zzzzz.”

Doomsday Clock crushes, was surprised at the reaction to Zeitgeist. Still love my 2008 tour hoodie.

“Bunch of soy boys didn’t like my prediction of the future.”

This isn’t the first time Corgan has ripped socialism, as he trashed Democrat Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders in 2016.

“I can’t believe that we’re even having this discussion, if you can understand when I say that to you humbly. To be talking in America in 2016 about Mao is a good idea, and a socialist is running for president and that’s OK, and we’re going to go back to these crazy tax rates where we’re going to completely disempower the innovators in our country because the new technocratic class wants to keep their position and they want to keep anybody else from coming in the game… I mean, it’s just crazy to me.”
