Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder recently covered “Seasons” by Chris Cornell at a show in Dusseldorf on his European tour and gave a touching speech about Chris’ daughter Lily Cornell Silver being born the week of the Roskilde tragedy in June 2000, referenced in the Pearl Jam classic “Love Boat Captain.” The video quickly went viral, but Pearl Jam had the clip removed from YouTube.

Guerilla Candy’s Travis Hay reported, “Dang. The Pearl Jam police came after the YouTubers who posted video of Ed’s ‘Seasons’ cover pretty swiftly. The videos have more or less been removed from the web.”

Alex responded, “Yeah, which is what I’d expect. It’s really unfortunate, with the way that Eddie tours he’s not reaching a lot of North American fans, coupled with the secrecy of his shows there’s just so much we’re missing out on.”

“Do you feel like it would cheapen the experience of being at an Eddie solo show if you knew it was going online for the wider community to enjoy? I definitely wouldn’t.”

Kelsey responded, “I don’t think it would. Plus he told a story at the show I went to in 2009 that I really think the entire world should get to hear.”

There was a drunken fan who disrespected Eddie Vedder and other fans at the Dusseldorf show where Vedder honored Chris Cornell.
