The new Tool album is set for release on August 30th, and frontman Maynard James Keenan was interviewed on the latest episode of Sammy Hagar’s Rock and Roll Road Trip series on AXS, and Hagar made a bizarre remark about the pizza Maynard and his partner made for him. Maynard James Keenan recently rejected a sad Tool demand.

Sammy said, “That’s a mushroom. I’m not bullshitting, it has that aftertaste of the psychedelic mushrooms.”

Maynard said, “I have no idea.”

Sammy added, “You would have no idea, that’s why I’m warning you.”

Crucify the Ego posted on the Tool Reddit about when to expect Tool to upload their music on streaming services, “Now that we’re out of the window of there feasibly being a week for each album/ep/live album to drop, I’m back to believing everything will come out on streaming/digital stores day and date with the new record.

I’ve come to grips that this is far more likely than anything else at this point. And that’s okay, I’ve fallen back in love with the back catalog again in a new way this summer and I can live on that until we finally get new material.

(One could hope for vinyl reissues or at least preorders for vinyl reissues to be announced at the same time, but that’s the suppressed optimist in me talking)”

El-Burden responded, “Its kind of a bummer, but honestly its what I expected. But it has been fun playing the ever loving shit out of the classics while we wait…my older sons are now fans rather than casual observers because of it.” Maynard James Keenan recently took a brutal shot at an A-list model.
