The Beatles icon John Lennon’s Twitter page has shared rare quotes from the late rock icon about money, and how Lennon claimed he knew nothing about how to handle his money, leaving it to Yoko Ono. He also made a remark about socialism. Lennon making a bold racial remark about the only white musicians he listened to recently resurfaced.

“I cannot do figures and numbers, I’m not good at business, and somebody has to take care of business, whether it was Beatle, Apples, or surviving inflation or whatever you call it. And there’s no way I can do it. I don’t have that talent. So she had to do it.”

He also said, “I worked for money and I wanted to be rich. So what the hell — if that’s a paradox, then I’m a socialist.”

Lennon’s famous drug dealer was recently revealed.
Lennon’s Instagram page has also shared a rare lyrics book photo:

YER BLUES, 1968⁣
Yes, I’m lonely, wanna die⁣
Yes, I’m lonely, wanna die⁣
If I ain’t dead already, ooh⁣
Girl you know the reason why⁣

In the morning, wanna die⁣
In the evening, wanna die⁣
If I ain’t dead already, ooh⁣
Girl you know the reason why⁣

My mother was of the sky⁣
My father was of the earth⁣
But I am of the universe⁣
And you know what it’s worth⁣

I’m lonely, wanna die⁣
If I ain’t dead already, ooh⁣
Girl you know the reason why⁣

The eagle picks my eyes⁣
The worm he licks my bone⁣
Feel so suicidal⁣
Just like Dylan’s ‘Mr. Jones’⁣

Lonely, wanna die⁣
If I ain’t dead already, ooh⁣
Girl you know the reason why⁣

Black cloud crossed my mind⁣
Blue mist round my soul⁣
Feel so suicidal⁣
Even hate my rock and roll⁣

I die. Yeah, wanna die⁣
If I ain’t dead already, ooh⁣
Girl you know the reason why ⁣

‘Yer Blues was written in India, too. The same thing up there trying to reach God and feeling suicidal.’ – JL, 1980⁣
