Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell’s wife addressed Taylor Hawkins being ‘overworked’ with Foo Fighters, and Hawkins helping reunite original bassist Eric Avery with Jane’s Addiction, in a new Instagram post.

“Last show of the tour, finishing strong at a SOLD OUT show at the Hollywood bowl. It’s been truly an Incredible to have Eric back in the band on stage with Jane’s Addiction. He truly has no equal. I need to take the time to give credit where credit is due. For the last two years of his life, even though he was extremely overwhelmed and overworked with not only the Foo Fighters, but a couple of the other projects, he still took the time to RELENTLESSLY bridged the gap between Eric and Perry and the rest of the band. Enthusiastically working hard behind the scenes.

He loved Jane’s Addiction so very much that it was his DREAM to have Eric come back to Jane’s Addiction. I know he will be on that stage with us tonight. In the last photo, when the Foo Fighters played Lolla Chicago 2021, he couldn’t find a Jane’s Addiction T-shirt to wear on stage- so he made one. When he got off the stage, he gave it to Perry as a gift. I recently found out that Perry has been carrying that shirt with him – Into every venue on this entire eight week tour. Not a day goes by that we don’t think about him. So Taylor, on behalf of all of us on the tour and all of the band’s patrons out there, THANK YOU. This is YOUR night as well as the bands . We love you so very much♥️❤️#taylorhawkins.”
