Perry Farrell discussed his relationship with his Jane’s Addiction bandmates in a new interview with Hard Drive Radio, transcribed by Alternative Nation.

“I was sitting with my friend David who is in Bon Jovi last night, he is the keyboard player, and we were talking about band dynamics. I said, ‘I can’t say that my band and I are friends.’ There was a time we didn’t like each other at all, but I would say that I love being in Jane’s Addiction so much it overrides any kind of shortcomings I might see in them, and they might see in me.”

He also said, “I get to be loved so much because of the music that I made. We all want love, and we all want money too, and I made so much money.”

“I get depressed because I want everyone to feel as good as I do about having been made special, being selected to be celebrated.”

He also added that he doesn’t have many friends, “[My wife] is my best friend, she might be my only friend. That’s the only thing that’s a little sad, that I don’t have many friends.”
