The NWA President and The Smashing Pumpkins member told WGN’s Dean Richards he tied the knot to longtime girlfriend Chloe Mendel on Sunday, September 17.
According to PWInsider, a couple of stars were in attendance for their boss’s wedding ceremony. Joe Galli, Jay Bradley, Aron Stevens, Natalia Markova and Mercurio were among the names that attended Corgan and Mendel’s wedding.
It has been noted that the celebrations are underway as Chicago rock band Smashing Pumpkins commemorates the 30th anniversary of its breakout album “Siamese Dream.”
The group hosted a pop-up shop and special acoustic concerts in Highland Park on Sunday at Madame Zuzu’s, a tea shop owned by lead singer Billy Corgan.
The event featured band Merchandise and vinyl records as well as two acoustic concerts meant to recreate the 1993 release party of “Siamese Dream” at Tower Records, near North Clark Street and West Belden Avenue, which was attended by around 3000 people. Around 150 people gathered for Sunday’s intimate shows which took place at 6 and 9 p.m.
This is the second marriage for Corgan, who was briefly married to art conservator Chris Fabian between 1993 to 1995.
He and Mendel, 31, have been together since 2012 and got engaged in September 2022 on Mendel’s 30th birthday. “The day finished with a wedding proposal,” Mendel’s Instagram caption at the time read. “Of course I said yes ❤️.”
Mendel is the creative director and co-founder of fashion brand Maison Atia, a luxury outerwear brand. Her father is Gilles Mendel, the French atelier and designer and CEO of the luxury fashion brand J. Mendel, which has been in the Mendel family for five generations.
She and Corgan share daughter Philomena, 5 in October, and 7½-year-old son Augustus.
