Legendary musician Ozzy Osbourne recently provided an update on his health after undergoing extensive spinal surgery and other treatment following a fall at home in 2019. The accident aggravated injuries he suffered in a near-fatal quad bike crash in 2003.

This past July, Ozzy was forced to cancel his appearance at the upcoming Power Trip festival due to his ongoing health issues. Ozzy’s health issues, including catching COVID-19 a year and a half ago, forced him to cancel some of his previously announced tours.

In the newly released second episode of the revived “The Osbournes” podcast, He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “Tomorrow I have my final surgery on my neck. Which it is gonna be the final surgery, because I can’t do it anymore. Regardless of the way it ends up after tomorrow, I’m not doing it anymore. I can’t.”

Asked by his son Jack how he is feeling about the operation, the 74-year-old Black Sabbath singer said: “It’s all right. It’s just like going over for a fucking haircut now… But I have improved somewhat, I think. My feet feel like I’ve got bricks tied to them when I’m walking. I walked upstairs today and downstairs for the first time in a while, and my feet feel like I’ve got diving boots on when I’m walking. I think it’s the nerves… Then I was thinking, maybe I just need to get up off my ass and walk around the block a few times.”

Ozzy and Sharon confirmed that this will be “surgery number four” for the musician, who expressed optimism about the upcoming procedure.

“I said to the doctor yesterday, you know what I’ve heard, which I have, people have discs replaced that are worked on and they become the strongest things in the bone,” he said. But Sharon clarified that the doctor said they don’t know if the surgery will work or not.
