Travis Barker talks about addiction
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Travis said talked about how he gave up on smoking, drinking and doing drugs years ago and added that his new addiction is running.
He said: “I gave up on smoking, drinking and doing drugs years ago. My new addiction is running. I run three miles every day. When I’m on tour, I hit an hour-long walk, run for 30 minutes. No weights on show day, but I do abs and core work. Maybe it’s superstitious, but I like the concept of doing all your hard work in the morning, so that my show is the easiest thing I’m going to do all day.”
Travis Barker is currently on tour with Blink-182, the band, that he joined in 1998, reunited a couple of years back. He also said the group’s shows, set to lighting and pyrotechnics, are much harder than the Warped Tour sets of his youth.
