Update: While a Brad Pitt produced Chris Cornell documentary is in fact in the works, Vicky Cornell has revealed that the IMDB cast listing for the film is ‘fake.’ She said it was ‘very sad’ that ‘vile and clearly obsessed trolls’ are trying to ‘dupe fans.’
A Chris Cornell documentary is currently being produced by Brad Pitt. Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan was recently photographed with Chris Cornell’s daughter. Brad Pitt was good friends with Chris Cornell dating back to the 90’s, and he was spotted at Cornell’s funeral in May 2017 and spending time with Cornell’s children a week after the memorial. Pitt also spoke at the star studded ‘I Am The Highway’ Chris Cornell tribute show in January featuring Foo Fighters, Metallica, Soundgarden, Audioslave, Miley Cyrus, Josh Homme, and Adam Levine. Chris Cornell died by suicide in May 2017.
Chris Cornell’s widow Vicky Cornell has shared very rare video of Chris playing the Soundgarden classic “Black Hole Sun” for Brad Pitt and others at an EBMRF charity show in January 2017, just 4 months before his death. Pitt introduced the performance.
