Breaking News: Green Day Rob Bank… in New “Bang Bang” Video


Last month, Alternative Nation reported that Green Day were working on a new video for the lead single “Bang Bang”, and yesterday, the band released it on their Facebook page. In one day, the video already has over 2 million views.   Rancid singer/guitarist Tim Armstrong directed the video which splits time between “Green Day” robbing a bank and Green Day playing “Bang Bang” at a house party. At the end the two scenes become linked. This is the 3rd official video released by Green Day, but the first actual standard music video. Lyric videos were released for both “Bang Bang” and the title track “Revolution Radio”.


Both new songs “Bang Bang” and “Revolution Radio” are currently free downloads available now with a purchase of Revolution Radio.  You can tell from the lyric videos that they have definitely taken a stance on today’s politics as mentioned in recent interviews by the band. Green Day have also added dates for their 2016-2017 world tour: Krakow and Prague will be part of 2017 leg.  Last week many fans scrambled to get tickets to the U.S. shows, many of which are in smaller club venues.  The tour kicks off in St. Louis at the Pageant on September 20th.
