The lineup of the Deftones has turned upside down as of late as it was recently revealed that longtime bandmate Sergio Vega left the group. Vega started to play with Deftones in 2009 where he would replace Chi Cheng after Cheng was involved in a car accident. This event would lead to his eventual death on April 13th, 2013. Vega can be heard on several albums for the groups including Diamond Eyes, Koi No Yokan, Gore, and Ohms.

The Deftones recently added this big name. It is now being reported that frontman Chino Moreno has either deleted or made his Mixir account private after bashing Vega before announcing the now-former group member’s departure. Mixir is a live audio broadcasting app.

Over on the social media social news aggregation, web content rating, and discussion website – Reddit, users discussed this development at hand and many fans of the Deftones had quite bold opinions about what had transpired.

One user had proclaimed: “It was on Mixlr, someone asked why Sergio wasn’t in the new promo photos and he said something along the lines of ‘he didn’t quit, that fool was outta pocket, he went, fh.’ The assumption is fh means f*** him.”

With another chiming in – comparing Chino to a child: “yes. scroll down till the last few days load, then do a find for Vega.

And then deleted his account like a child.”

Lastly, another user on Reddit would say this: “Oohhhh s*** I didn’t know he deleted his account. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if the label made him because he made an unapproved statement about the situation. Both Maverick and Reprise have been controlling with them about important info releases. I know they were pissed at Chino for telling people on an (I think) Instagram live what the name of the upcoming album (OHMS) was.”
