Late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell‘s daughter Toni Cornell has unloaded on Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder’s wife Jill Vedder in a new Instagram comment on a post by Matt Cameron. Matt Cameron posted a photo with Chris, seemingly in response to Chris’ widow Vicky Cornell suing Soundgarden over royalties and the battle over their unreleased new album. Cameron wrote, “‘First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win’ Mahatma Gandhi #soundgarden 📸 @plorkowski.”

Jill Vedder commented with three heart emojis, and did not write any actual words in her comment. Toni Cornell responded to Jill, “I never knew you to like posts of my father, odd considering how much you hated him. You met him maybe 3 times in your life. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT USING MY FATHER now to hurt my mother.

You should really practice what you post, kindness, justice, and if every mother counts then so does mine. Shame on you, leave my parents alone or I too have posts to share straight from the mouths of PJ and my dad. #wouldyoudareifmydadwasalive #stopbullyingchildrenandwidows.”

Toni Cornell’s grandmother Toni Karayiannis ripped Eddie Vedder back in May 2017 when he did not attend Chris’ funeral, calling him ‘less than a man.’

Cameron said in a comment that the photo he posted was taken in 2017 just a few months before Cornell died by suicide. You can call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. Cameron even said he vividly remembered the moment in the photo, as he and Cornell were writing a new Soundgarden song called “Road Less Travelled,” which is the subject of part of the battle that has led to Vicky Cornell and Soundgarden’s lawsuit, over the release of the band’s unreleased final album.
