Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl recently revealed that his daughter pulled the ultimate act of disrespect during a Them Crooked Vultures show a decade ago with Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme and Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones: she fell asleep! Dave Grohl recently discussed Foo Fighters departures.

“I’m not sure. You’re going to have to ask John or Josh. That might have been the Vultures’ first UK appearance too. It was another beginning for me and another one of my bands. I wasn’t sure if anybody knew or understood what was about to happen. The one thing I remember most visibly is that my daughter Harper had never seen me play the drums before.

I was really excited to play for her, so there were a lot of people there but for me it was really an audience of one. We started playing and I was just absolutely fucking destroying my drum set because I was so excited to be up here with Josh, John and Al [Johannes]. Then I turned and looked at Harper and she was asleep!”

Josh Homme hilariously rejected a Dave Grohl offer a couple of months ago. Homme will release The Deser Sessions Volumes 11 & 12 next month after a lengthy hiatus, featuring ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, Primus frontman/bassist Les Claypool, Jack White drummer Carla Azar, Warpaint drummer Stella Mozgawa, Scissor Sisters’ frontman Jake Shears, and many more. No word yet on if Dave Grohl will play on it, but he seems to play on everything! Metallica made a bold Foo Fighters revelation recently. Grohl made his remarks about Them Crooked Vultures during an NME interview.
