Dave Grohl was recently interviewed by Tim Montana on CMT, and the Foo Fighters frontman revealed how seeing his cousin shave her head helped inspire him to attend his first punk show, which turned him into a musician who would later dominate the world with Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, and Them Crooked Vultures. Dave Grohl revealed a crazy restaurant fight story yesterday.

Montana asked, “Do you remember your first live performance?” Alternative Nation transcribed Grohl’s answer.

Grohl responded, “First time I ever saw a live band perform was actually a punk rock band in Chicago. We used to go up there for the summertime, because I grew up in Virginia, and my mother’s best friend lived in this really nice neighborhood outside of town by the lake. (Dave Grohl was recently stunned by a brutal Prince death secret)

My cousin Tracy had turned into a punk rocker, and I’d only seen that shit on TV, she shaved her head, and she was going to a show that night, and I’d never seen a band, so I went to this band called The Cubby Bear, right across the street from Wrigley Field, and I saw this Chicago punk band, and it was loud, and noisy, and stage diving, and glass breaking, and bloody noses, and I was like, I’m doing this for the rest of my life.”

Foo Fighters recently wrapped up a run of festival performances and are expected to record a new album and release it in 2020. Dave Grohl was recently spotted ridiculous car.
