Speaking to Radio X’s Gordon Smart backstage at Foo Fighters’ recent show at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, Dave Grohl admitted that the moment he fell offstage at a show in Gothenburg, Sweden in June 2015 was the lowest point in his performing career… but that events quickly turned around.

Dave explained: “I though this is the worst gig of my life. And then we got up onstage and finished the show and it was the BEST show of our entire career!”

He went on: “We just played there again recently and I had a little post traumatic… y’know, looking at the stage and looking at where I fell off.”

Guns N Roses frontman Axl Rose borrowed Grohl’s impressive chair for an appearance at Coachella in 2016 and subsequent performances when he broke his foot at the Troubadour in April 2016.

Grohl explained: “When Axl borrowed it, his management asked how much do you charge for the throne? You can’t charge anybody for the throne, it’s bad karma! So I let him have it.”

“At the end of the tour, he gave me – as a thank you gift – the most incredible guitar, the best guitar I have ever had in my entire life.

“It’s a Gibson ES3-35, but it’s a single dot, it’s kind of rare. It’s like a ’63 or a ’65? I use it all over the new record.”

This just proves how much Axl has chlanged and grown professionally and privately. I remember Axl sitting in the throne and still rocking the hell outta the place. But let’s be clear, he did not break his foot at the Troubadour, he broke it the night before the first official reunion concert at the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas. I know this because Axl explained, on stage, that he just had surgery that morning and he was hopped up on pain killers. Also, the throne, that Grohl lent out was rushed from LA to Las Vegas in such a hurry, that the FF logo wasn’t replaced with the GNR logo. To clarify, The Troubadour was where GNR had the surprise unofficial reunion show. I can confidently relay this information because my wife is the #1 GNR fan in the states, maybe the world and I dare anyone to argue with her. I need a good laugh. She should be writing these articles because, her fact checking abilities dwarf those of typically freelance calliber writers.

I’m glad you’re ready for a laugh, because the joke is on you. Please follow this simple timeline of events:

April 1, 2016, GNR announce and play a “secret” show at the Troubador, which kicked off their “Not In This Lifetime” tour. Axl slipped and broke his foot during Mr. Brownstone, but still finished the show. How do I know, because I was lucky enough to get tickets and saw him fall down.

April 8, 9, 2016. The first 2 arena shows at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Axl is using the “Throne.” How do I know, because I had tickets to the show on April 9th.

So, it does make sense that the throne was “rushed from LA to Las Vegas” in a hurry; because Axl needed it to do the shows AFTER he broke his foot on April 1.

But, I know you’re all about research, so here’s an article for you to right click on and read:
