Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine revealed why he believes Kurt Cobain committed suicide in a new Team Rock interview.
“It’s not a burden, it’s kinda like – you look at dudes like Kurt Cobain and you say, ‘Why did the dude kill himself?'”
“I think that maybe guys like that – and I’m just guessing here – guys like that don’t realize they’ve been gifted, and it becomes a burden.
“When you start looking at your fans as like, ‘Fuck, I’m not gonna take another picture with you, I don’t wanna sign an autograph, leave me alone,’ you don’t deserve to be there.
“When you get up in the morning and you realize – like for me, whenever something nice happens in my life, I always thank our fans for it. I thank my fans ALL the time, because I wouldn’t have it if it wasn’t for them.”
