While there have been a lot of people looking for ways to help those who have recently lost everything in the multiple fires raging throughout Los Angeles country, there has also been a number of people online who have been cheering on the destruction with conspiracy theories.

David Draiman, frontman of the band Disturbed, recently took to social media to criticize those who have been taking pleasure in these poor victim’s losses.

“There are people on this platform cheering on the destruction caused by the Los Angeles Fires. Delighting in the misery and misfortune of others. Nothing justifies this. No reason. No cause. NOTHING. Absolute scum. The lot of you,” he wrote.

The fires have caused a massive amount of destruction, destroying more than 12,000 structures so far, taking the lives of at least 24 people, and forcing over 100,000 people to flee their homes.

While many of those affected are working and middle class families, some of the victims belong to a higher social class and include well known celebrities and musicians. Primus guitarist Larry LaLonde announced that he is unfortunately among the thousands who have lost their homes, writing on Instagram:

“My mind is still trying to convince me this whole thing is real. As the losses in this fire trickle into my brain, it feels like being hit with a bag of rocks over and over, but the people around us make me feel like the luckiest motherf*cker on the planet.”

It is also being reported that Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett’s home was destroyed in the Palisades fire.

Several others, including Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee, Anthrax’s Scott Ian, and Guns N’ Roses’ Slash, were forced to evacuate.
