Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth are topics of debate among many music fans, and have been for years, before and after Eddie’s tragic death. There have also been rumors and speculations regarding the two for some time.

The former Van Halen recently opened up about reports that he is in talks with Alex Van Halen and Joe Satriani about taking part in an all-star Van Halen tribute project, with Satriani standing in for Eddie Van Halen. Satriani confirmed that the trio has been in regular contact over the past year about doing a tribute tour.

Meanwhile, Wolfgang Van Halen, son of Eddie, has been getting hate from fans on social media. He recently fired off on such a statement which suggested that Wolf should go on tour with Roth to pay respect.

“He [Wolfgang] had his tour. His dad just died, maybe that obese slob could pay respect and go on tour with Roth?” wrote a fan on Twitter.

“This is what my mentions have been like the past week. It’s great. You’re all great. Just popping in to say there is no Van Halen without Pop. Ok bye.” replied Wolfgang by quote retweeting the fan’s tweet, possibly referring to the rumored tour.

A rumor that is also prevalent is that Eddie’s ex-wife, Valerie Bertinelli had broken up Van Halen. However, Bertinelli has hinted that David Lee Roth got her and his wife banned from shows. “After Ed and I became involved, all of a sudden there was this rule that there were no girlfriends and no wives allowed on the road. I got along great with Al and with Mike. It was someone else. I don’t know why he didn’t like me, but what are you gonna do? I don’t know why he didn’t like me. I mean, I was always nice to him. I honestly don’t know.”
