A 13-year old Pearl Jam fan named Roarke who has fought brain cancer recently had his dream come true when he jammed with Eddie Vedder after a fan campaign to make a meeting happen.
Andrew Long tweeted on July 23rd, “My guitar student, Roarke, beat brain cancer a few months ago. Him and his family have been through Hell and back this year. MLS soccer player Brad Evans tweeted about the story, and the story caught fire, and in Seattle at one of Pearl Jam’s Home Shows at Safeco Field, Roarke got his wish to meet Eddie Vedder. The meeting and jam session was described on social media posts.
