Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder recently started the ‘Come Say Hi’ to Eli campaign by teasing a new song, intended to raise awareness for the Epidermolysis Bullosa disease. Vedder said, “Well hello Eli, Lilly, this means a lot to me because your story is incredibly powerful.  You know, my family and I have been working with a group called EB Research Partnership and have been committed to finding a cure and finding it quickly. Having you represent that community, it means so much and it takes a lot of courage and we admire you immensely.”

Eddie’s wife Jill Vedder has now announced, “A few days in and #ComeSayHi has raised $35,000! Donate, start a fundraiser, or share EBRP: ALL donations will be doubled up to $250K until next week!” chica5552 commented, “Already donated it wasn’t much but I hope it helps ❤️.” Jill responded, “Every penny ! We thank you💙.”

A Pearl Jam rumored tour announcement that ‘will blow your mind’ was revealed yesterday. Former Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello recently joined in the ‘Come Say Hi’ campaign as well, uploading a video to Twitter.

Join me in saying hi to Eli. Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is a rare, life-threatening genetic skin disorder that attacks the body inside & out. Donate to @EBResearch or share a vid of yourself waving with #ComeSayHi to spread awareness & find a cure for EB! http://ebresearch.org.”

Morello also tweeted, “Getting a cappuccino today and barista says ‘did anyone ever tell you that you look just like Tom Morello?’ I say ‘All the time.’ He says ‘I’ll bet.’ I order my coffee. He says ‘What’s the name?’ I say ‘Tom.’ He says ‘Your name is TOM too?! That’s crazy!’ I’m like ‘It sure is.'” Eddie Vedder recently discussed Chris Cornell and Kurt Cobain with a big name.
