Former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke discussed the ‘Not In This Lifetime’ reunion in a new Loudwire interview.

“I’ve been saying from day one that I think it’s fantastic. It’s great for rock music, number one! I mean we all know that rock music has kind of taken a hit over the last ten years and I think by the success of this tour we can really help rock come to the forefront again.”

He adds, “Look, I was a huge fan of Guns N’ Roses before I was in the band. I think it was a great band and to me there’s nothing better than seeing Slash and Axl back together again and I’m happy for them.”

Clarke also told Loudwire what he is currently up to, “I’m making a new solo album and I’m almost finished. I’ve been working on this record for a long time … well, long time in maybe six months on and off, but I like it.”

Art Tavana has posted a new LA Weekly interview with Guns N’ Roses keyboardist Melissa Reese, and how she has become a rock icon since joining the band last year.

In the article, Reese discusses her pre-show ritual that helps her get energized for a performance. She’ll eat a box of See’s candy and drink a Diet Coke, but unfortunately for Reese, the sugar high had bad consequence at a show in New Jersey last summer. In Jersey, she puked.

“I didn’t know what to do! I swallowed it because I didn’t want it all over my rig.” The crew gave her a blue bucket matching her long blue hair, which has become GNR cosplay.
