Foo Fighters are creating a mystery around Pat Smear not appearing in a new video the band filmed for fans, explaining that fans will soon find out where he is, and likely see him.
The Foos tweeted, “Foo Fighters first full ROCK livestream. Sign of the horns. THIS Saturday, Nov. 14th at 5pm PT. Ticket to view $15: http://foofighters.co/Roxy. Video will be available for 48 hours following initial livestream. Tune in anywhere you are in the world!”
The band added, “Want to know where Pat is? Tune in and find out!”
Foo Fighters recently announced that their new album Medicine at Midnight will be released in February 2021, kicking off their postponed 25th anniversary celebration, which is also scheduled to feature an 18-month tour and a documentary, along with the band likely being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Foos will perform at the Roxy this weekend for an online concert.
Chris Shiflett told Rolling Stone Australia, “It’s interesting because we made it and then just sat on it for months, and then we just started rehearsing recently to get ready to do some promo stuff and started working on playing the songs since, you know, we never played them live ever,” recalls Shiflett.
“It was nice to listen to the album with fresh ears and still really like it and still feel good about it. As far as where it sits in the history of the band, that’s not really for me to say, that’s for other people to decide. But I think it’s a strong record and I like it a lot.”
