Green Day, who began their careers as pups in the late 1990’s recently performed a considerable number of cover songs. These include tracks from perhaps the band’s teenage heroes – the likes of Nirvana, The Cure, and more. We dived deeply into all the happenings recently to present to you, our fans, all the “haps” about what Green Day are currently doing.
As per Ultimate Guitar, Green Day had a busy 2022. From their massive arena tour with Weezer and Fall Out Boy, to reports that a new album is in the works and scheduled for release sometime in the near future.
The pop punk icons decided to say goodbye to the year in style, with a small gig disguised as their side-project The Coverups. This took place in Hollywood’s Viper Room, as reported by Kerrang!
The show included two sets of covers, which went pretty much everywhere, from INXS and The Cure to Misfits and Ramones, with notable renditions of hits by David Bowie and Nirvana making the delight of the audience.
