Original Guns N’ Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin is featured on John Mellencamp’s new album Sad Clowns & Hillbillies. “Grandview,” written by Mellencamp cohort Bobby Clark, is the album’s only real rocker and features Stradlin and former Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers drummer Stan Lynch. It’s sung from the perspective a working-class middle-aged man whose biggest dream is outfitting himself with a trailer and getting out of town.
Guns N’ Roses have shared a photo of the original lineup promoting their Spotify catalog, just a week or so after Spotify had previously changed the band’s profile photo to the band’s logo rather than a photo of the original lineup. This promotional image shows that team GNR are still proud to promote Steven Adler and Izzy Stradlin as part of the band’s legacy.
