Jack Osbourne Says Ozzy Biopic Casting Chosen
Jack Osbourne has shared a fresh update on the long-gestating Ozzy Osbourne biopic, saying the project is moving forward at Sony and that the team already has a major actor in mind to portray the Black Sabbath legend. Speaking in a new interview, Osbourne described the film as still in development but said key pieces are now falling into place.
In remarks highlighted by Rock Celebrities, Jack said the biopic is “full steam ahead,” with the script essentially finished and only final tweaks being made before the next step. He added that the production is hoping to attach a director soon, and said the plan is “on and popping” once that happens.
While Jack did not name the performer, he acknowledged there is a specific “brilliant big actor” the team is excited about, framing the casting as something they hope will come together as planned. He also suggested Ozzy would have been stunned by the scale of support surrounding the movie, saying he might not have believed the “outpouring of love” the project has received.
Outside of the movie news, Jack has recently been in the spotlight for other headlines, including when he pushed back against online rumours about his health and appearance.
For now, the Ozzy biopic appears to be focused on locking in final script adjustments and securing a director, with casting discussions continuing behind the scenes as the production aims to move from development into pre-production.
