One of the last photos of John Lennon taken on the street in New York in 1980 before the day he was killed was recently revealed on his official Instagram.

To promote the Rock ‘n’ Roll album, John directed two films for the BBCTV Old Grey Whistle Test show – ‘Stand by Me’ and ‘Slippin’ and Slidin” and granted the show’s host, ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris, an onscreen interview in exchange for a box of chocolate olivers, brought from London. In the broadcast, he also wished his son Julian a ‘Happy Birthday’. Record Plant East, NYC, 8 April 1975.

John Lennon and Yoko Ono ‘This Is Not Here’ exhibition poster, designed by George Maciunas with photographs by Iain Macmillan. ⁣

This exhibition of Yoko’s artworks, held at the Everson Museum Of Art, Syracuse, N.Y., opened on 9th October 1971, John’s 31st birthday. It was billed as a show of unfinished paintings and sculpture with John as a guest artist.⁣
