Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer has privately confirmed his departure to two fans via private messages, with the band confirming they ‘parted ways’ with him yesterday to bring back John Frusciante.

Josh Klinghoffer Fansite tweeted, “It’s true, Josh just confirmed. No matter what projects you undertake, J, we want To Be One With You. Love always.”

“To all asking…Josh confirmed this in a private message to us. We will not share it for personal reasons. Josh will be okay. And we will continue to support and post about all his future projects.”

MarbelleSnow tweeted, “I am absolutely devastated to be able to confirm that it is true, Josh Klinghoffer is no longer a member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It seems John is also returning. I’m sure in time I’ll be happy about that. But for now, thank you Josh, for being a friend. I’m with you.”

They added that they learned the news ‘from Josh’ directly. “Anyone asking for proof, how is he etc. Just chill. Why would I lie about this? More info will come out soon. Josh is the most humble and caring person I’ve ever met, he will be genuinely happy for the band going forward. I’m sure he has the right people around him.” Marbelle added, “Josh is happy for them. I’m sure he’s hurting though. We will be there for him.”

The next message was heated, “Hey @flea333, @RHCPchad, any comment on what’s happened today? I’m really disappointed that the guy who saved your band and gave everything he had to you guys for a decade has been dropped on a shitty message on Instagram like you were just announcing a new show.” Josh Klinghoffer made a stunning Michael Jackson claim last week.
