Kid Rock Cuts Rock The Country Tickets
Kid Rock’s “Rock the Country” travelling festival has announced last-minute price reductions ahead of its May 1 launch, with organisers saying the move is aimed at easing the cost of getting to the shows. The festival is set to begin in Bellville, Texas, and run through the summer before closing in Hamburg, New York, on September 12.
Promoters said select dates are offering up to 50% off general admission passes for a limited time, framing the discount as a response to increased transportation expenses. “Fuel costs are up, and we want to help!” the statement read, with Yahoo Entertainment reporting organisers said the offer applies to seven small-town stops.
The tour is co-headlined by Mr. Jason Aldean and features a rotating roster that includes Jelly Roll, Mr. Blake Shelton, Ms. Miranda Lambert, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Staind. However, the lineup has already shifted for at least one date: Jelly Roll is no longer scheduled to appear at the June 28 stop in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with Staind stepping in for that show while he remains booked elsewhere on the run.
Some fans have reacted angrily online, arguing they paid full price before the discounts were announced and before changes to specific lineups. The frustration echoes other recent Kid Rock-related announcements, including when Kid Rock offered veterans free show tickets as part of a separate promotion.
With the festival’s first date imminent, the discount push and continuing lineup adjustments underline how quickly large touring packages can change in the weeks before launch, particularly as organisers try to keep demand steady amid rising travel costs.
