A mock-up of an early press release for the band Nirvana featuring printed text and graphic elements taped together, including an image of Greg, Peter, and Bobby from The Brady Bunch. The mock-up lists Nirvana’s discography as Love Buzz/Big Cheese, which was released in November 1988, and the compilation album Sub Pop 200, which was released in December 1988. It further describes a nine-song cassette titled Nap, possibly referring to the demo recorded by Jack Endino with Dale Crover of the Melvins on drums or the nine songs the band had reportedly finished mixing in the studio in January 1989, which would become their debut album Bleach. The press release, most likely created by Tamra Ohrmund, who is referred to in the contacts section as “their lovely manager,” notably makes use of the alternate spelling of Cobain’s name as Kurdt Kobane. Among the humorous and insightful quotes from the band several lines have been hand-censored in black marker, and additional text scrawled in the lower margin by Cobain reads “Blah, blah, never hire someone to write up your press kit!”
