Liam Gallagher discussed the possibility of an Oasis reunion in a new Channel 4 interview. Alternative Nation transcribed his comments.

He said regarding his happy 50th birthday tweet to Noel Gallagher, “I want to remind everyone that he’s old, and not as young as me.”

When asked if he’s tried to push the idea of an Oasis reunion to his brother, Liam answered affirmatively.

“We have done that. I don’t think he wants it man, he’s up there in his solo world. He’s in charge of everything, if I get in the way, he can’t tell me what to do. I’m not a yes man, so I think he’s quite happy doing his thing. I’m not definitely not a yes man. So all these people going, ‘I wish you’d get back together,’ I’m ready to go man. So it’s all about him, I’m not putting the blame on him, but he’s the one that doesn’t want it.”

He said the feud between himself and his brother is tough on their mother.

“Yeah, for sure it is. I have kids, and when they argue and aren’t getting on, you feel the pain.”

He said he is ready to bury the hatchet with Noel and reunite Oasis.

“I can, because I don’t hold grudges.”

When asked if he could behave during an Oasis reunion, Liam said he would not.

“No, no. You’re not meant to behave in Oasis. I think that was the problem, all of a sudden he was like, ‘Woah, what’s going on here man? What do you mean you’re still drinking, smoking, and staying up?’ He pulled out this book like, ‘No no, we’ve got to behave now.’ That don’t work.

Behavior and being in Oasis, no, doesn’t work, I would not behave. I would get the gigs done, but I would certainly be having the crack, that’s what rock and roll is about isn’t it? Having a laugh. Who wants to see people walk on stage and behave? That’s not what it’s about.”
